Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Adam Palma (Palma Tech) ("I," "me," or "my") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit palma-tech.dev (the "Site") or contact me about web development services.

Information I collect

Information you give me. When you use the contact form on the Hire me page, I collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The website package and care plan you're interested in
  • Your message and project details

Information collected automatically. I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. This tool does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites. It collects aggregate information such as pages viewed, referring site, browser type, device type, and approximate country. The homepage also shows a simple visit counter, which stores only a running total and nothing about you.

Live toys on the homepage. The shared ASCII canvas and the fireworks are live for everyone on the page. Characters you place on the canvas are public and anonymous, and stay there until someone draws over them. To enforce the canvas cooldown, your IP address is held in memory only while the cooldown runs; it is never saved. Fireworks are passed on to other visitors in real time and are not stored.

Hosting and security. The Site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the Site and protect it from attacks and abuse.

How I use your information

  • To respond to your inquiry and schedule consultations
  • To provide, quote, and deliver services you request
  • To send invoices and project-related communication
  • To keep the Site secure and working properly
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used so I can improve it

I do not sell your personal information, and I do not use it for targeted advertising.

Who I share it with

I share information only with service providers that help me run the Site and my business, and only as needed for them to do that work:

  • Cloudflare (hosting and security)
  • Web3Forms (delivering form submissions)
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics (site analytics)

I may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect my rights or the safety of others.

Cookies

The Site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Some strictly necessary technical cookies may be set by my hosting and security provider to keep the Site secure.

The Site also saves two small items in your browser's storage. Neither identifies you or is sent to me:

  • Theme preference (localStorage): saved only if you pick a colour theme in the footer, so the Site remembers it. Choosing "System" removes it.
  • Visit flag (sessionStorage): a marker so the homepage visit counter counts your visit only once. Your browser deletes it when you close the tab.

Do Not Track: Because the Site does not track visitors across third-party websites, it does not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

How long I keep information

I keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and, if we work together, for the length of our working relationship plus any period required for tax and record-keeping purposes. Inquiries that don't turn into projects are deleted within 24 months.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me to:

  • Tell you what personal information I have about you
  • Correct it
  • Delete it (unless I need to keep it for legal or tax reasons)

Email me at palma-tech@proton.me and I'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and I will honor valid requests.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact me and I will delete it.

Security

I use reasonable measures to protect information, including HTTPS encryption on the entire Site. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed.
